Move your book, the operation organized by the team of the Trimaran Use It Again by Extia skippered by Romain Pilliard will be held from October 26 to November 4 in Saint-Malo. The skipper will board his giant trimaran with second-hand books to distribute on arrival in Pointe-à-Pitre to schools in Guadeloupe.

The idea dates from Romain Pilliard’s previous participation in the Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe. Upon the arrival of his first transatlantic in 2018, the skipper of Use It Again by Extia went to meet Guadeloupean students and noticed that the libraries were almost empty.

In line with the approach of the Use It Again project to reduce, reuse and recycle (the 3 Rs of the circular economy), a dedicated box will be installed in front of Use It Again by Extia in the village of Saint-Malo. Everyone will be able to deposit a children's book, an album on the ocean or recent children's literature from 3 to 10 years old with a little word, a name, a first name in order to humanize this gift.

The books will cross the Atlantic in a fortnight aboard the Trimaran Use It Again by Extia and will be distributed to partner schools in Guadeloupe by Romain Pilliard.
