EMBARK ON THE TRIMARAN REMADE – USE IT AGAIN ON THE ROAD TO RHUM!

On November 4th, I will be at the start of the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe at the helm of the trimaran Remade - Use It Again! In the Ultime category, I will be Tom Thumb of this formidable class which brings together the biggest names in ocean racing: Thomas Coville, Armel Le Cléac'h, François Gabart, Sébastien Josse and Francis Joyon.

It is a formidable challenge to have renovated this giant 23-metre trimaran, that of Ellen MacArthur, who had not sailed for several years. With the Use it Again project, we are giving it a new life and my objective, on this Route du Rhum, is to promote the circular economy, to highlight the principle of reuse in a performance approach. For me, the performance will not be to arrive first in Pointe à Pitre but to succeed in completing this Route du Rhum in a good time for this boat and to tell you a great story.

Today I have :
– A great Title Sponsor: REMADE
– Several partners who trust me
– A main sponsor involved in the Use It again endowment fund, AtelierSterenn.com
– A beautiful boat, reliable and fast!

As for me, I am physically and mentally ready to take up the challenge!

Yes, but here I am, I still lack a little budget for technical contingencies (and I won't hide the fact that there are always three weeks before the start) and to be able to communicate during the race.

We cannot talk about a circular economy without thinking collectively. So, I decided to appeal to you by launching crowdfunding. In my own way, I am trying to make a modest contribution to change with this circular economy Trimaran project. We therefore want to share our adventure with you, so that it also becomes a bit yours.

A big thank-you,

Romain Pilliard, skipper of the trimaran Remade-Use It Again!
