Dismasting operation
New manoeuvre of the day: Operation dismasting at La Trinité-sur-Mer!
The aim of this delicate operation was to carry out a complete overhaul of the mast, the fittings (change the balls and pins on the pulleys and carriages), the electronics and to change the standing rigging. The current standing rigging (4 shrouds and 1 main stay) will be kept for use on shorter distances such as Transatlantic voyages.
To do this, the 30-metre mast will be under hangar for 2 weeks, the time to let the coming depressions pass and to resume training.
The boat preparers have a lot of work to do over the next 15 days!
