Vacation Radio – Romain Pilliard (Remade Use it Again): “Under three reefs alone”

« At the moment, it's a bit Verdun, I'm crossing the front. After Ouessant, I got caught in the soft spot. Yesterday, there was as little wind as there is a lot today. I have between 30 and 40 knots but I have to cross this front. The boat is fine, the guy is a little sick but he's fine all the same. I expected that. The Route du Rhum is not the easiest race, but you have to deal with it. I tell myself that I have a good boat and that it will pass. There, I am under 3 reefs alone. I have nothing ahead. I'm making between 7 and 10 knots depending on the angle. As we have slaps at 45 knots, I stay cool. I haven't eaten too much but I manage to drink to hydrate myself »
