The Atlantic in 15 days
At 8 hours 41 minutes 28 minutes (local) this Friday, November 25, the trimaran Use It Again by Extia skippered by Romain Pilliard crossed the finish line of La Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe in Pointe-à-Pitre. Romain Pilliard thus completed his second Route du Rhum in 15 days 23 hours 26 minutes and 28 seconds and finished 8th of the Ultimate category. This transatlantic race is another victory for Ellen MacArthur's former 23-metre trimaran, reconditioned according to the principles of the circular economy, which has already completed an Upside-Down Round the World Tour this year.
It is done ! 4,727 more miles on the clock for the circular economy trimaran which had already covered more than 35,000 miles this year. Use It Again by Extia – almost 20 years – and its skipper, have once again demonstrated that through resilience and self-sacrifice, anything is possible!
