Tomorrow, departure to the assault of the Indian Ocean!

"I should close the Pacific in the following day and night and then officially enter the Indian Ocean at the Torres Strait.

What a week! I feel like I've stayed here for two months! It was morally taxing, because I really hadn't planned this stopover, physically because it's very hot to work on the boat in Port Moresby. I had a thousand things to see, no qualified technician but fortunately, I had a lot of spontaneous help from the locals. I can't thank them enough!

A lot of tinkering so, such as the hydro-generator to repair, the J1 (Genoese) to make and undo, the mast angle sensor, the GV to patch. I was given a hand to fix the slats too. I do not leave supplement rested but you must not ask too many questions, you have to go! On the program tomorrow morning: customs and clearance, and if all goes well – because this kind of thing often takes a long time in these islands – departure from the pontoon around 11am-12pm.

I'm happy to leave, it's less difficult than the other times because there is no one from the team and my family, even if I made my little life here, I met lovely people! It really makes me want to come back, to continue our mission of raising awareness here and believe me, there is work. Finally, I obviously want to discover a little more this country, these mountains, these customs. I'll be back, that's for sure! Have a great weekend everyone," Romain.
