> Romain will tackle the most difficult sporting challenge in ocean racing:

The attempt to REVERSE WORLD TOUR RECORD and SOLITARY this time.

A solo record, from east to west, against the prevailing winds and currents, owned by Jean-Luc Van den Heede for 20 years. He arrived on March 9, 2024 after 122 days on his monohull Adrien.

It is THE challenge of USE IT AGAIN, the clear illustration of our message: The climate emergency is real and our search for performance must no longer be at any cost, we must seek relative performance and not absolute performance.

This Record attempt represents a unique performance, in perfect harmony with USE IT AGAIN: A single man, on the hardest and longest ocean journey, with a legendary 20-year-old boat, reused materials, reasonable means, and the lowest possible impact on the planet, for an XXL human and sporting adventure of almost 4 months !

Start of stand-by for the departure of this attempt from the first weather window, November 2024.

Christian Dumard will support Romain in weather analysis and routing before and throughout the record.
