Stopover in Reunion Island

Following the receipt of the latest weather files, Christian Dumard, router and meteorologist of Use It Again! By Extia and Romain have found that the weather situation of the coming days does not allow a passage to the Cape of Good Hope without a stop or prior shelter.

"It's winter coming to the Indian Ocean and depressions are circulating more and more in the North. A big front will pass on June 16 and 17 in the south of Madagascar generating a sea of 6-7 meters and a strong west wind. It is therefore more prudent to let this depression pass," explains Christian Dumard.

The decision was made to organize a stopover in Reunion where Romain should arrive tomorrow in the late afternoon.

The team on Land is in continuous exchange with Romain to optimize this stop and according to the evolution of the weather files to start part of the work to begin the ascent of the Atlantic Ocean.
