At the age of 60, Christophe Colaris, Commander for the Compagnie du Ponant on the ship Le Lyrial is a man of the sea and of challenges! He has been sailing since the age of 10 in Moth Europe, became skipper of a Class 2 of 12 meters at the age of 16 and spent his time between the Mediterranean and the South of England on Cowes Week or the Admiral's Cup. After his studies in Merchant Marine, he bought at the age of 25 an 11-meter sailboat, a "Around the World", and made his first crossing of the Atlantic. Christophe then joined the crew of the Phocéa, Bernard Tapie's 4-masted ship, then joined the Ponant team.

Passionate about paragliding, bivouac in the mountains, Commander Colaris loves missions in all its forms!
