Earth in danger, it is urgent to act!

Romain and Titouan Pilliard set off on Friday on the last stage of this Westabout World Tour against the winds and prevailing currents, a 5,900-mile ascent of the Atlantic between Cape Town and Lorient. An enthusiastic father/son duo, motivated and determined to bring the trimaran of the circular economy and the protection of the Ocean to a safe port but also distraught by what is happening today in France and Europe.

The words of the day:

“I would have liked to tell you about beautiful sensations of gliding on the Atlantic Ocean ... I left Lorient on January 4 on this Westabout World Tour on my reconditioned trimaran to raise awareness about the protection of the Ocean, to promote the circular economy, to demonstrate that it was possible to do things differently. For years, I have been defending and acting on a daily basis to change our consumption patterns. For our children, for a viable future, it is urgent to act now to safeguard our planet. I've been following the news since Use It Again! by Extia. Today, our cause is overtaken by reality, which itself surpasses fiction. The France ignites, in the South-West, an exceptional heat wave affects Europe. Heat records fall every hour, sometimes beaten by more than 4 degrees in the West. It is 38.9 degrees under cover in Vannes this Monday which will surely become the hottest day in our history. The earth is in danger, we are all in danger. Do we really have to go through this so that everyone becomes aware of the catastrophe towards which we are heading? On a small, medium and large scale, it's time to act!”, Romain on Use It Again! by Extia.
