Roman's story

We had a great race, the boat's first since the winter yard and the first race off Titouan. We were therefore very concentrated from the start and until the finish. It was great fun to sail with Titouan, who has gained confidence on the boat since our long sail together last year. I sailed really confidently with him. We shared a lot of fun I think he and I on this boat. In strong moments, during magnificent passages, especially along Brittany but also in sometimes difficult wind and sea conditions in the Channel.

Titouan is always positive, sometimes a little fiery, "it has to bombard" as he says, but that's normal given his age, and his exacerbated competitive character. But even if we weren't on a Round the World, I'm also there to teach him to recognize the limits of the boat and to preserve the equipment. He still has to learn before going solo, but he is talented, passionate and tough. I think that this kind of double-handed sailing allows me to pass on experience to him and make him progress quickly. We will approach the next “Cowes – Dinard” race tomorrow Friday in the same state of mind, of pleasure, of surpassing oneself, and of transmission. We can't wait to be at the start of this historic race.
